Surf community legend dies

The Northeast Florida surf community has lost a legend. Holly Rubin Sills, 64, passed away Feb.

Ponte Vedra lacrosse notches two wins

The Ponte Vedra Lady Sharks lacrosse team travelled to Wolfson recently. The Lady Sharks dominated the Wolves, and saw their hard work pay off, winning with a final score of 18-0. Multiple Ponte Vedra players scored in the game, including Pierson Schuchart and Tori Balser, both with two goals each.

PV girls basketball season ends

The Ponte Vedra Lady Sharks (12-13) basketball season ended in the District Finals Feb. 7 as they battled the Yellow Jackets of St. Augustine High School (18-5). The Lady Sharks started the game with strong defense and a conservative offense.

PV boys soccer wins district title

The Ponte Vedra High School boys soccer team won another district title by defeating Englewood 4-2 on Feb. 7. Goals were scored by Alex Devincentis, Nico Gosendi (2) and Jack McBrayer.

Beaches Chapel School wins JCAL Championship

Beaches Chapel School’s middle school boys basketball team won the Jacksonville Christian Athletic League Championship for the first time Jan. 31 at First Coast Christian School.
