Fletcher High School athletes recognized with Senior Awards

At the recently Fletcher High School Senior Awards night, Athletic Director Joe Reynolds awarded Athlete of the Year awards to three students. The recipients were recognized for ability, good sportsmanship, school spirit and dedication to their teams.

License-free fishing weekends offered in June

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) invites Florida residents and visitors to go fishing during two license-free weekends: June 3 and 4 for saltwater, and June 10 and 11 for freshwater.

Red snapper season is coming

It’s been a tough week of wind and rain for local anglers, with more inclement weather on the forecast through the holiday weekend. We’re looking at gusty winds and scattered storms likely lasting until Sunday, with a chance of nicer weather for Memorial Day Monday.
