Fishing has gotten hotter

The sweltering heat of our summer rainy season is upon us, but the fishing has only gotten hotter this week. From back creeks to the beach all the way out to the break, reports have been fantastic the last few days.

Freedom Boat Club of Northeast Florida donates pontoon boat to Shake-A-Leg Miami

Freedom Boat Club (FBC) Jacksonville recently donated a pontoon boat to Shake-A-Leg Miami (SALM), a nonprofit organization that FBC of Northeast Florida's co-owner Kevin Seelig has ties to. The boat club gave the organization a 2021 Sweetwater 2286 22-foot Tritoon boat with a Mercury 150 motor.

FWC to meet July 19 and 20 in St. Petersburg

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) will meet in person July 19 and 20 at the Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront, 333 First St. SE, St. Petersburg. The meeting begins at 8:30 a.m. each day and is open to the public. The FWC will provide opportunities for public input.
