The first signs of fall are starting to appear on the water this week. Schools of mullet are moving along the beaches and ICW, a hint of northeast in the wind, the sunsets coming quicker and sunrises waiting longer.

'Murder Ballad' opens at Players by the Sea

All Beaches Experimental Theatre presents the musical “Murder Ballad” on the Players by the Sea main stage at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, with matinee performances at 2 p.m. Sundays, through Aug. 27. “Murder Ballad” is a rock opera-style musical by Julia Jordan and Juliana Nash.

The Jacksonville Beach Baseball Association (JBBA) recently announced the 10U All-Star team has qualified for the 2023 10U Cal Ripken World Series. The Barracudas will represent Jacksonville Beach and the state of Florida as they travel to Crown Point, Ind., for the tournament.
