Hole-in-one scored

Jeri Roche of the Jacksonville Beach Ladies Golf Association scored a hole-in-one during the 60th Annual San Jose Golf Association Invitational Sept. 20.
Hole #5 was playing 107 yards, and Roche used a nine iron to secure the hole-in-one.

Fletcher football defeats Sandalwood, Parker

Fletcher High School's football team defeated Sandalwood Sept. 22 at home, 15-7. On Sept. 29, the team shut out Parker 41-0 in an away district game.
Fletcher will face Ed White in a non-district home game Oct. 6.

Acoustic/Songwriters Nights in Atlantic Beach celebrate 20 years

The team that produces the Atlantic Beach Acoustic and Songwriters Nights celebrated the events' 20th anniversary recently.
The musicians have given charity concerts for the past 10 years and raised $20,000 for the Jacksonville Beaches Kiwanis Club and its projects supporting children in the area.

Beaches Oktoberfest returning to Jacksonville Beach

Beaches Oktoberfest is coming back to Jacksonville Beach this October. The seventh annual festival will happen Oct. 6 and 7 at the Seawalk Pavilion.
The event will feature two stages of live music, with performers including Niko Moon, X-Ambassadors, American Authors and more.
