Inshore fishing should be great this weekend

Last week was everything local anglers love about the fall. Cooler mornings warming up into the 80s, clear skies and hungry fish all around. From wahoo to tuna, trout to sheepshead and redfish, all over there was plenty of action for anyone fishing.

Arts Market holding ceramic workshop

The Atlantic Beach Arts Market, 1805 Mayport Road, Atlantic Beach, will hold a two-day ceramic cat or dog workshop Wednesday, Nov. 8 and 15, from 10 a.m. to noon. On Nov. 8, participants will make a ceramic cat or dog with instructor assistance, as needed; on Nov. 15, the pieces will be glazed.

7th Annual Cathedral Arts Project Golf Tournament raises $119,360

The Cathedral Arts Project (CAP) announced Oct. 24 that the organization raised $119,360 in support of arts education at its 7th Annual CAP Golf Tournament, presented by Fickling Construction. The event, chaired by CAP board member Alan Fickling, was held Oct. 2 at Deerwood Country Club.

FWC unveils 2023 Lionfish Challenge King and Commercial Champion
