Atlantic Beach terminates agreement to purchase Lily Street property

An agreement between the city of Atlantic Beach and a private owner to purchase a flood-prone piece of property is dead in the water. The City Commission Oct. 11 unanimously voted to terminate the agreement to purchase the lots at Lily Street which were once used as a historic dump site.

Christ United Methodist Church at 400 Penman Road in Neptune Beach is helping the Beaches communities celebrate Halloween, Thanksgiving and the arrival of the fall season by holding its annual Pumpkin Patch this year. The pumpkin patch is open through Oct. 30. Hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Spooktacular returns to Jacksonville Zoo
