Fletcher Marine Coastal Club recognized

The Fletcher Marine Coastal Club was presented a certificate of recognition by Keep Jacksonville Beautiful and the Duval County Environmental Commission for the club's efforts to improve the Beaches coastal ecosystem.

Neptune Beach police officer honored

Neptune Beach officials honored the legacy of a veteran police officer by declaring a namesake roadway in his hometown. On Nov. 15, the City Council adopted a resolution naming the portion of Seagate Avenue from A1A to Penman Road as “Officer Paul Eddie Bounds-Legacy Lane.

Jacksonville Light Boat Parade returns Nov. 27

The city of Jacksonville will light up the St. Johns River with the annual Jacksonville Light Boat Parade on Nov. 27. The parade will feature vessels of all sizes beginning at 6 p.m. and will wrap up with a fireworks shows featuring “waterfalls” off the Main Street and Acosta Bridge.
