FWC officers make arrests for poached wildlife

Singleton's Seafood Shack required to install new sprinkler system

Like most restaurants, Singleton’s was hit hard by the COVID pandemic. The owners of the rustic seafood shack in the Mayport fishing village are fighting to reopen the doors after remodeling the rear prompted city officials to halt construction.

Santa Claus coming to Beaches Town Center

The Beaches Town Center Holiday Celebration is scheduled for Sat., Dec. 5. This free, family-friendly annual holiday event will be a socially distanced team effort of the city of Atlantic Beach, the city of Neptune Beach and the Beaches Town Center Agency & Merchants Association.

St. Johns County Public Library hosting Giving Trees

The St. Johns County Public Library is hosting St. Johns CARES, Inc., Giving Trees at four branch library locations through Dec. 9. Each Giving Tree contains wish ornaments that are submitted by local nonprofit organizations serving veterans, senior citizens, children, the homeless and animals.

Flagler Hospital COVID-19 testing site closed Nov. 27

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, the Flagler Hospital COVID-19 testing site will be closed on Friday, Nov. 27. The site will re-open for free COVID-19 testing Monday, Nov. 30. Testing is available from 7 to 11 a.m.

Lions Club delivers check to Mayport USO

The Jacksonville Beaches Lions Club donated $500 to the Mayport USO for its Thanksgiving baskets, which aid local military families.
