Mission House is seeking community partners to help operate cold night shelters for the Beaches homeless community. When temperatures dip below 40 degrees, Mission House staff typically teams up with area churches to provide a warm place for the homeless to sleep for the night.

Robert Cray returning to Ponte Vedra Concert Hall

The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall has announced Robert Cray will return to the stage Saturday, Nov. 13, 2021. Cray last performed at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall in January 2020. Tickets are on sale at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre Box Office and online at Ticketmaster.com.

Former ABC News correspondent dies in Ponte Vedra

The bicyclist who died after a car struck by another vehicle veered onto the sidewalk was identified as former ABC News correspondent Tim O'Brien, who covered the U.S. Supreme Court for more than 22 years.

Beaches Watch gives donation to Our Father's Housewares

On Dec. 3, Beaches Watch President Maria Mark and board member Sandy Golding presented the $500 Give-Back donation to Our Father’s Housewares. The Beaches Watch annual Give-Back donation supports outstanding nonprofit organizations that help enrich the quality of life of Beaches residents.

PV Democratic Club meeting Jan. 13

BEAM continues to help families

Local non-profits continue to help relieve the economic burden of Beaches families hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Volunteers with the Beaches Emergency Assistance Ministry (BEAM) distributed more than 1,100 meal kits as part of the annual Thanksgiving food drive.

Kings Estate Road closed for drainage improvement project

Kings Estate Road in St. Johns County is closed through January 2021 for a drainage improvement project. This project will include the replacement of a drainage pipe, installation of new endwalls and road resurfacing west of Dobbs Road to Gorda Bella Avenue.
