SJC, Flagler Health+ transitioning from COVID-19 testing to vaccine distribution

In preparation for COVID-19 vaccine distribution, St. Johns County and Flagler Health+ are transitioning the COVID-19 response operations from testing to planning and vaccine delivery. As a result, the COVID-19 testing site at Flagler Health+ will conclude all COVID-19 tests at 11 a.m.

Holiday alters sanitation schedules

Due to the upcoming holiday, the Friday sanitation collection services for New Year’s Day will be moved back by one day in Jacksonville Beach. There will be no collections Friday, Jan. 1, 2021. All garbage, recycling, bulk and yard waste normally collected on Fridays will be collected Saturday, Jan.

Flagler Hospital COVID-19 testing site closed Christmas Day

The free St. Johns County/Flagler Health+ COVID-19 testing site at Flagler Hospital will be closed Friday, Dec. 25, in observance of the Christmas holiday. The site will reopen for testing from 7 to 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 28, and Wednesday, Dec. 30. The site will conclude all COVID-19 tests at 11 a.m.

Citizens ask city to consider outcomes of adding parking in residential area

A project to install parking on the north side of Jarboe is causing discussion among Neptune Beach residents. The plans are included in the first phase of the city’s Vision Plan and propose adding parking along Bay Street.

Cultural Center opening new facility

The Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach is opening a new facility in Jacksonville Beach, the first step in expanding its services to reach more artists, art students and art lovers in Northeast Florida. The new studio is scheduled to be open to the public Jan. 4 at 3972 3rd St. S.

St. Johns County posts Christmas holiday office hours

All departments of the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners, St. Johns County administrative offices, St. Johns County libraries, the Property Appraiser’s office, the Tax Collector’s office, the Clerk of Courts’ office and the Supervisor of Elections’ office will be closed Thursday, Dec.
