Status of referendum for VLSC efforts in question

Overwhelming public support may not be enough to ensure that a referendum backing the efforts of the Volunteer Life Saving Corps makes it onto the November ballot, according to the city attorney for Jacksonville Beach.

PV Rotary Club names new officers, presents awards

The Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra "passed the gavel" from one leadership team to another recently. The swearing in ceremony took place at Maggiano's Little Italy restaurant in St. Johns Town Center. Bob Wiltfong is the club president for Rotary year 2022-23.

Racy Point Bridge to temporarily close for repairs

St. Johns County Public Works will close Racy Point Bridge, located 3.7 miles south of County Road 214, to complete repairs. The closure will occur from Aug. 3 through Oct. 14, weather permitting.

1980s prom fundraiser to support new nonprofit teen center

When it was time for Carolyn Dentz’s daughter, who is on the autism spectrum, to start thinking about middle and high school, Dentz wanted to find an alternative to a large public school. She knew her daughter would do better with one-on-one support at a place where she fit in.
