GTM Research Reserve offers new volunteer orientation

Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve (GTM) will offer a new volunteer orientation Friday, July 1. Interested volunteers will be able to learn about the background and history of the reserve, volunteer opportunities, and the benefits of volunteering at GTM.

Singleton's to reopen soon

After two years of permitting woes and a pandemic that pushed indoor dining into parking lots and Styrofoam to-go containers, the iconic – and newly-renovated – Singleton’s Seafood Shack in the Mayport fishing village will reopen its doors.

Jax Beach City Council seeking replacement for Stokes

Jacksonville Beach officials are seeking to fill a City Council seat following the recent resignation of Chet Stokes. While Stokes submitted his resignation June 1, his position cannot be filled until Nov. 7 at midnight.
