Betancourt exhibit closes out J. Johnson

The J. Johnson Gallery closes its 15-year run with an exhibition of work by Miami artist Carlos Betancourt. For this final exhibition, the artist will present a series of his newest photographs, as well as some larger wall works and two installation pieces.

Players Charity Challenge scheduled

The Players 17th Hole Charity Challenge will take place on Monday, April 4, where 16 local charities that benefit from The Players will participate on a shootout on the 17th hole at The Players Stadium Course.

Ponte Vedra's Moritz wins mile at UNF track meet

Running in the Elite division, Ponte Vedra High's Claire Moritz won the girls 1,600-meter race at March 26’s University of North Florida Spring Break Invitational track meet. Moritz, a sophomore, crossed the finish line in 5:16.35 to edge Space Coast High’s Skye Zeller, who clocked 5:16.
Mr. Sipp performs at 4 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Saturday as part of the three-day Belk Springing the Blues Festival in Jacksonville Beach. The annual event is free to the public. Daily VIP tickets are $20. Tips to help beach-nesting shorebirds

Shorebird nesting season is under way along the Atlantic and Gulf coasts of Florida and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) reminds beach-goers to watch out for and to avoid disturbing birds and their young.

New no-wake zones to be posted
