Jax Beach Art Walk celebrates anniversary

The Jax Beach Art Walk will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 9, in Downtown Jacksonville Beach. The Jax Beach Art Walk is a free, family-friendly event that repeats every month on the second Tuesday.

Beach Boulevard boat ramp accessible

The Beach Boulevard boat ramp is accessible, as the bridge at 2nd Avenue North is now open. The bridge will not be closed again for a few weeks while the county is waiting on parts to come in. When the materials come in, the bridge will be closed at night between 10:30 p..m and 6 a.m. Check the Aug.

Beaches Museum hosting Mayport exhibit

Beaches sculptor wins international art award

Beaches ceramic sculptor Kosmas Ballis won a Gold Award, topping an international group of competing clay artists, in the Yingge Ceramics Fine Arts Museum 2016 Biennial exhibition in New Taipei City, Taiwan.

Neptune Beach candidate forum set for Aug. 11

Back to School with BEAM is Saturday

Beam will hold its 23rd annual Back to School event on Aug. 6 from 8 a.m. to noon at Beach Church. They will be giving local families the supplies necessary for a successful school year. BEAM needs volunteers on Aug. 5 for set-up day, and on Aug. 6 for event day and clean-up.

Beach bars take part in A1A Cocktail Trail

The Florida Department of Citrus (FDOC), St. Augustine Distillery, and the St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra & The Beaches Visitors and Convention Bureau (VCB) have created a trail of bars and restaurants that serve up original cocktails featuring farm-fresh Florida citrus and spirits from the St.

'All in this together' on pension shortfall

Authorizing the county to collect a half-cent sales tax to fund pension liabilities will end up freeing up future operating dollars and the Beaches will be part of the public discussion on spending priorities for the community.

Tuesday Articulate: Teens 13 to 19 can join Articulate, a free teen performing company at Limelight Theatre, 11 Old Mission Ave., Uptown St. Augustine. The new company will meet from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays. There is no cost, but students need to register.
