American Legion volunteers deliver lunches to fire, police departments

Ocean Beaches American Legion Auxiliary Unit 129 and American Legion Post 129 of Jacksonville Beach recently gave to the community in remembrance of 9/11. Ponte Vedra Tropical Smoothie donated 14 box lunches for the Fire Departments on 2nd South and 3rd Street, and South Beach Parkway and Osceola.

Huguenot Park will be renamed Fountain View Park

A new name is on the horizon for a south Jacksonville Beach park. Known for its sunset vistas and lighted water feature, Huguenot Park will formally be renamed Fountain View Park. City officials discussed the change during a recent briefing.

Jacksonville Beach moving forward with lifesaving station rebranding

On Sept. 11, city officials discussed a proposed resolution to formalize the rebranding of the historic lifesaving station in Jacksonville Beach. The oceanfront building at the foot of Beach Boulevard must also undergo a series of structural repairs prior to the completion of the rebranding.

Water management districts seek public comment on water supply plan

After months of gathering data, soliciting project ideas, and coordinating with neighboring water management districts and stakeholders, a draft update to the North Florida Regional Water Supply Partnership water supply plan is now ready for review and public comment.
