Lots of outdoor options this weekend

December is off to a warm start with hot weather and great fishing. The bite has been consistent both inshore and offshore this week. Looking ahead, the weekend shouldn’t be any different; with the forecast calling for more days in the 70s, it is still a perfect time of year to get on the water.

The U.S. Air Force Super Girl Surf Pro, World Surf League Qualifying Series 3000, crowned Caroline Marks its 2022 victor after she won the final against Bella Kenworthy.

Flounder recreational harvest reopens Dec. 1

The recreational harvest of flounder in all Florida state and federal waters will reopen Dec. 1. The minimum size limit for flounder is 14 inches total length and the daily recreational bag limit is five fish per person. Learn more about flounder regulations at MyFWC.

FWC to meet Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 in Panama City Beach

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) will meet in person Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 at Bluegreen’s Bayside Resort and Spa, 4144 Jan Cooley Dr., Panama City Beach. The meeting begins at 8:30 a.m. CST each day and is open to the public.

Trout fishing has been successful

Fletcher football finishes regular season 8-2

On Oct. 27, Fletcher High School's varsity football team defeated First Coast 30-18, and finished the regular season Nov. 4 with a 30-0 victory over Atlantic Coast.
