Photography club meets Tuesday

The Beaches Photography Club meets Tuesday, July 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Beaches Branch Library, 600 Third St., Neptune Beach. Michael Joseph will present a program on pet photography. This is a free event for people of all level of photography. Visit www.beachesphotographyclub.

Fourth of July entertaining can be patriotic and fun

Ponte Vedra man who was suspect in father's death found dead

A 41-year-old Ponte Vedra Beach man who was a suspect in the death of his 70-year-old father was found deceased in a Daytona Beach motel room on Thursday, June 23.  The suspect, identified as Joseph Carmichael Reddock Jr.

Corps awards contract for shoreline protection work

The Jacksonville District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers awarded a Duval County Shore Protection construction contract June 28 to Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Company, LLC, of Oak Brook, Ill., for $13,572,170.
