Commission races to be voted on Tuesday

The Aug. 30 primary election in St. Johns County will determine County Commission seats 1, 3 and 5.  Eddie Creamer, candidate for property appraiser, will  run unopposed, as will incumbent Tax Collector Dennis W.

Upcoming election will decide clerk, sheriff

The August 30 Primary Election is open to all registered voters in St. Johns County and will determine St. Johns County Sheriff and the Clerk of the Circuit Court/Comptroller. Early voting is available through Aug. 27 and early voting hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

Neptune Beach fires city clerk

At a special meeting Thursday morning, five days before a municipal election, the Neptune Beach City Council voted 3-2 to immediately fire its city clerk after allegations of a hostile work environment were raised earlier this week by other staff members.
