Three new trustees to join MSD board

St. Johns County Commissioners seat 1, 3 and 5 have been named following Tuesday's primary election.  Seat 1 incumbent Jimmy Johns will remain on the board for another term, earning 62.59 percent of the votes, compared to opponent Al Abbatiello, who earned 37.41 percent.

Great Ponte Vedra Paddle benefits HEAL

The Fifth Annual Great Ponte Vedra Paddle will take place on Labor Day, Sept. 5. The event was founded in 2012 by Dana Current, who sits on the Board of Directors of The HEAL (Healing Every Autistic Life) Foundation.

Floodplain map open house cancelled due to weather

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has cancelled the floodplain map open house scheduled for 4 p.m. this evening at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall due to inclement weather as a result of Tropical Storm Hermine. Additional meetings will be scheduled in the near future.
