Cradle Creek Preserve will close Monday for 30 days for scheduled maintenance and repairs on the boardwalk. The 43.3-acres of primarily undisturbed land along the Intracoastal Waterway features a system of nature trails and elevated boardwalks.

Beaches community members to be honored at Beach Legends gala event

The Beaches Area Historical Society will host its third annual Beach Legends gala on Friday, Sept. 23, at 6:30 p.m. The event will honor six well-known members of the Beaches community who have made and are making significant contributions to the on-going history of the Beaches.

St. Johns County Pet Center cats looking for forever homes

The Friends of the St. Johns County Pet Center is sponsoring $10 cat and kitten adoptions at the St. Johns County Pet Center, 130 N. Stratton Road, through Sept. 30. The fee includes spaying/neutering, initial vaccines and microchipping. The Pet Center is open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Parade starts Fletcher's homecoming activities

Jarosz and Millsap co-headlining show at PV Concert Hall

Two young Americana singer-songwriters – Sarah Jarosz and Parker Millsap – will co-headline a performance at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall on Friday, Sept. 30.  Jarosz is a 25-year-old Grammy-nominated multi-instrumentalist and vocalist.

MSD agrees to pay more for garbage collection

After being informed by Republic Services that its contract was not bringing in revenue for the company, the Municipal Service District of Ponte Vedra agreed to increase its contract by approximately $1 per household per month, with an additional increase expected in the next fiscal year.
