Art camps cover various media and techniques

The Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach will hold daily spring break art camps through March 17. Workshops are available for ages 4 through 8, and 9 through 14. Classes will take place from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Students may participate on individual days or for the entire session.

Jacksonville Beach police seeking missing person

The Jacksonville Beach Police Department is seeking help from the public in a missing person investigation. The person being sought is Melissa Lynn Gormley, 33. She is described as 5 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing 119 pounds, with brown eyes and blonde hair.

Police report business owner tells them food spat upon

Officers with the Jacksonville Beach Police Department were informed by the owner of Cruisers Grill this week that restaurant employees had been spitting in officers' food, prompting Police Chief Pat Dooley to issue a memo to staff, cautioning them when dining at the establishment.

Jacksonville Zoo LEGO art exhibit opens

The Jacksonville Zoo, 370 Zoo Pkwy., Jacksonville, is featuring a collection of art by LEGO artist Sean Kenney through May 7. The exhibition, which is free with Zoo admission, includes 13 LEGO sculptures made from more than 300,000 bricks.
