Beaches uniting for safer Penman Road

Penman Road, a major north/south corridor through Jacksonville Beach and Neptune Beach, should be improved to address pedestrian and bicyclist safety. That is the message the Jacksonville Beach City Council will send to the county.

Church's coffee shop gets city approval

Margaritaville work begins

Work is beginning on the oceanfront Margaritaville Beach Hotel at 715 1st St. N. in Jacksonville Beach. Welbro Construction will mark the official groundbreaking March 8 at the hotel. The two-year project is scheduled for completion in spring 2021.

Ponte Vedra Beach Library reopens

Parallel parking by a busy Atlantic Beach beach access proposed

A citizens committee on parking and pedestrian safety in Atlantic Beach continues to recommend that parallel parking be used on 18th Street to make the access safer. The recommendation comes despite the police chief raising concerns about traffic safety if such parking is created in the future.
