Beach fronts closed until further notice

At 4:30 p.m. March 20, the Jacksonville Beach oceanfront was lined with families, sun worshipers and dog walkers. A half hour later, the Duval County beach was empty and closed indefinitely to help slow the spread of COVID-19.

Online learning begins in Duval County

Students and teachers have been working together to flatten the learning curve as they navigate the first week of online learning. All Duval County students were expected to log into the virtual platform beginning March 23.

Mission House closes free clinic
