Museum of Science & History announces MOSH Connect

The Museum of Science & History (MOSH) announces the launch of a new initiative, MOSH Connect, the museum's first digital endeavor into bringing its educational experience to the home.

St. Johns County Tax Collector offices closed until further notice

In compliance with Governor DeSantis’s Executive Order 20-91, all St. Johns County Tax Collector offices are closed to the public until further notice. The Tax Collector encourages residents to complete eligible transactions online at www.sjctax.us.

Closures and cancellations

AAA has suspended physical access to branches by members and the general public. Care care facilities in Florida will remain open, but the waiting room will not be available for public use. Visit AAA.com for updates.

JTA rider protocols updated

The Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) has implemented additional measures to promote social distancing on board buses and at JTA facilities. Up to 18 seats are blocked off on JTA buses that have the highest volume of customers to increase and encourage social distancing.

Cities start virtual public meetings

Beaches cities are adjusting to COVID-19 restrictions, limiting contact among essential employees only and holding city meetings through a virtual platform when possible to help keep the public informed and business moving forward.

Ricky Skaggs to perform in Ponte Vedra Beach

Gospel Music Hall of Famer and 15-time Grammy Award-winner Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder will perform Friday, Aug. 21, at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall, 1050 A1A N., Ponte Vedra Beach, at 8 p.m. (doors open at 7 p.m.). Tickets range from $39 to $63, and are available at the Concert Hall and St.

St. Johns County closes beaches

In order to protect public health, safety and welfare, and maximize compliance with State of Florida Executive Order 20-68, all public beaches in St. Johns County closed to public access under the local state of emergency March 29, and will remain closed until further notice.

HomeRoom Gallery of Fine Art opens

Duval County Public Schools' HomeRoom Gallery of Fine Art is officially open. The gallery is a virtual showcase of the artistic endeavors of Duval County students.

St. Johns County Public Libraries offer eCards while closed

In response to the COVID-19 health emergency, the St. Johns County Public Library is offering county residents online eCard registration. Residents in need of a library card may now sign up for a temporary one by visiting www.sjcpls.org.
