Atlantic Beach receives LEED gold certification

Vilano Beach Pier to undergo maintenance

Beginning Monday, Dec. 5, the Vilano Beach Pier, located at 260 Vilano Road, St. Augustine, will undergo maintenance, including resurfacing and pressure washing. The project is anticipated to last four weeks. Portions of the Vilano Beach Pier will remain open during this time for public use.

Mission House names Michaele McAvoy as interim executive director

The Mission House in Jacksonville Beach has appointed an interim executive director following the resignation of Carina Saladino, who resigned after serving in the role for two years. Michaele McAvoy was selected by the executive committee to serve as interim executive director.

Deck The Chairs under way at Jax Beach

Atlantic Beach officials are considering a proposed measure to prohibit sleeping or camping on city streets, parks and other public locations. The City Commission will hold a public hearing and final vote at the Nov. 28 meeting.

Night for Warriors set for Dec. 5

The Fletcher High School Interact Club will host its ninth annual Night For The Warriors Dec. 5 at ABBQ, 461 Atlantic Blvd., Atlantic Beach. Tickets are $50 per person. The Night For Warriors is an event that raises money to purchase dogs for warriors.
