Jax Beach residents can expect rate hike for waste collection

A new contract for solid waste collection and recycling services will lead to a rate hike for residential and commercial customers in Jacksonville Beach. On Dec. 5, the City Council awarded the new contract to Waste Pro of Florida, Inc. The current contract with Waste Management expires Feb.

Boys & Girls Clubs raise more than $400,000

Through the events of the Great Futures Weekend, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida raised more than $400,000 and welcomed more than 1,100 runners and walkers for the 13th Annual McKenzie’s Run, and more than 100 golfers for the 2nd Annual Great Futures Golf Classic.

Tuba Christmas returns to the 2022 Jacksonville Beach Deck The Chairs Saturday. With more than 200 tuba players expected, Deck The Chairs is welcoming Tuba Christmas back for the fifth season of free holiday programming at the Seawalk Pavilion.
