FHS Band's Donut Dash is Saturday

The Fletcher High School Band will hold its annual run to raise money for uniforms, equipment, competition fees and other annual expenses. It also creates some friendly rivalry between band sections while promoting physical activity.

The Monique Burr Foundation for Children (MBF)'s annual signature fundraising event, A Night in the Vineyard, presented by Constellation FURYK & FRIENDS at SoNapa Grille in Jacksonville Beach, raised more than $200,000 for the Foundation.

Atlantic Beach may enforce paid parking daily

Paid parking could be enforced seven days a week at 18th and 19th streets in Atlantic Beach. Commissioner Mike Waters said during the March 27 meeting that the program would offer more benefits to the city with expanded hours of operation.

Easter Sunrise Service a beaches tradition

A beach tradition of 72 years will unfold again this Sunday, April 9. That is the Easter Sunrise Service in Jacksonville Beach, open to all. Based on the expected time of sunrise, the service will begin at 6:45 a.m. at the Seawalk Pavilion in Jacksonville Beach.

St. Johns County offices, libraries closed for Good Friday

All departments of the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners and administrative offices, the Property Appraiser’s office, the Clerk of Court’s office, and the Supervisor of Elections’ office will be closed Friday, April 7, in observance of the Good Friday holiday.
