Adventure Landing staying open through 2025 season

Adventure Landing in Jacksonville Beach was recently granted its eighth lease extension, keeping the park open through the 2025 season. Owner Hank Woodburn confirmed Sept. 18 that the park will remain open through next September.

Fletcher falls to Nease

The Duncan U. Fletcher High School Senators football team traveled to Allen D. Nease High School Sept. 13 to take on the undefeated Panthers. Nease received the ball first, with their possession leading to a field goal.

Edward Honey pays tribute to community roots

The sun is rising and already Ed Malin’s Palm Valley home is humming with life. More than 80,000 honey bees are busy storing pollen and making the honey that literally flew off the shelves at Angie’s Subs after being stocked just 48 hours before. Malin always thought he was born to be a farmer.

Florida Fin Fest is Friday and Saturday at Seawalk Pavilion

The Florida Fin Fest presented by Natural Life will be held from 3 to 10 p.m. Friday, and noon to 10 p.m. Saturday, at the Seawalk Pavilion in Jacksonville Beach. The free two-day event features panel discussions with ocean conservation experts and educators, along with live music on two stages.
