90th birthday of Pete's Bar to be celebrated with street party

Light It Forward Award presented

Juanita Adeeyo, emergency assistance manager at Beaches Emergency Assistance Ministry, was recently awarded the JEA Light It Forward Award. The award is given to individuals who go above and beyond to help low-income households.

St. Johns County recognizes former Commissioner Paul Waldron

At the Dec. 5 St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) Regular Meeting, former County Commissioner Paul Waldron was posthumously honored for his community contributions and public service with a presentation to his family for “Paul Waldron Day.” Waldron passed away in October 2022.

AB couple recognized for creating holiday spectacle

An Atlantic Beach couple is being celebrated for bringing the Christmas spirit to the community. Last December, Atlantic Beach Mayor Curtis Ford issued a proclamation honoring residents Lee and Deb Leibecki for serving as a beacon of joy for the community every season.

Tim Stafford announces retirement from Atlantic Beach Police Department

Three years after sustaining critical injuries while responding to a call for service, Officer Tim Stafford announced his retirement from the Atlantic Beach Police Department. Last week, the City Commission recognized Stafford for his bravery and resolve during his difficult recovery.

Open house will celebrate new Neptune Beach Senior Activity Center

An open house celebrating the long-awaited opening of the new Neptune Beach Senior Activity Center will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday at 2004 Forrest Avenue. The event is open to the public and refreshments will be available. “We’re in,” said Executive Director Leslie Lyne.

Donations sought for 10th annual Christmas toy drive
