Atlantic Beach officials approved the acquisition of a commercial building adjacent to the Beaches Veterans Memorial Park. During a Dec. 11 meeting, the City Commission voted unanimously in support of a resolution authorizing the purchase of the 4,500-square-foot building located at 100 W.

WJCT Public Media announces 2024 TEACH Conference

WJCT Public Media, in partnership with VyStar Credit Union, will host its annual TEACH Conference Saturday, Feb. 10. The day-long conference for educators will be held at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront.

St. Johns County selects new solid waste provider

On Dec. 19, during the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) regular meeting, a contract was approved for FCC Environmental Services Florida, LLC, for residential solid waste collection including household garbage, recycling and yard waste. The new contract begins Aug. 1, 2024.
