Atlantic Beach officials approved the acquisition of a commercial building adjacent to the Beaches Veterans Memorial Park. During a Dec. 11 meeting, the City Commission voted unanimously in support of a resolution authorizing the purchase of the 4,500-square-foot building located at 100 W. 1st Street for use as a community center, veteran resource facility or senior activity center.
