Deck the Chairs plans for the future

Deck the Chairs, the popular holiday light show in Jacksonville Beach, is seeking a five-year agreement with the city of Jacksonville Beach to continue holding the month-long program at Latham Plaza.

Beaches Library to host Comic Con

The Beaches Library will hold its 4th annual Comic Con on Saturday, May 7, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., featuring an action packed day of events. This year's Comic Con will include a performance by the Fletcher High School Band at 11:30 a.m.

Sawgrass Village work to be done by Players

Fletcher seniors awarded scholarships

A group of Fletcher High School seniors were awarded Educational Scholarships from the Jacksonville Beach Woman’s Club during the club’s April luncheon held at the Atlantic Beach Country Club. Scholarships were awarded to Nadia Searl, Alexandra Heap, Kendall Owen, Pilar Walker and Lainey Hayden.

Cost for new Atlantic Beach police station may rise

A mid-year budget modification to provide $575,300 in additional funds for police building improvements in Atlantic Beach will be discussed during Monday's commission meeting, bringing the total project fund to nearly $3.5 million if approved.
