An $80 million apartment complex could replace Adventure Landing in Jacksonville Beach. The family entertainment center located at 1944 Beach Blvd. is scheduled to close at the end of October.

St. Johns County libraries return to regular hours

The St. Johns County Public Library System has returned to regular service hours at all facilities. In addition, the Bookmobile will resume regular service from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and the library’s online reference service, Ask a Librarian, will extend service hours from 10 a.m.

Dial-A-Ride receives $500 donation

A grant check for $500 was presented to Executive Director Lori Anderson with the Beaches Council on Aging for the Dial-A-Ride Program June 24 by local Realtor Group CBV Cares representative Nancy Hammond.

No changes to sanitation services for holiday

There will be no changes in sanitation services in Jacksonville Beach, Atlantic Beach or Neptune Beach for the week of July 4. All garbage, recycling, yard waste and bulk will be collected as regularly scheduled. The office of The Beaches Leader and Ponte Vedra Leader will be closed Monday, July 4.

Fireworks are returning to Jacksonville Beach

A year after COVID dimmed Fourth of July festivities, the rockets’ red glare is returning to Jacksonville Beach. The city will host a Fourth of July fireworks display at 9 p.m. Sunday from the base of the pier.
