Conditions for weekend look favorable

It’s been a somber week for the North Florida fishing community. Our collective thoughts and prayers are all with the family and friends of Timmy Obi who disappeared while spear fishing last Saturday.

Red snapper in season this weekend

I hope everyone got through our brush with Elsa safely. At time of writing it’s shaping up to be past us and back to decent conditions to fish by the weekend. Everyone who fishes knows what this weekend means, Red Snapper. The most common fish caught within 30 miles of the inlet is finally open.

Be ready for crowds at local ramps

Summer is finally here on the First Coast. Bait is on our on the beaches with predators in chase. The nearshore and offshore fishing are both wide open, and of course the ramps are slammed every weekend.

DONNA Marathon taking place in Jacksonville Beach in 2022

The 15th anniversary of the DONNA Marathon will take place in the heart of Jacksonville Beach. City officials June 14 pledged to move forward in support of the recent request to host the annual fundraising event for breast cancer the weekend of Feb. 12-13, 2022.
