Wake Forest will play Texas A&M in Gator Bowl

TaxSlayer Gator Bowl Chairman John Duce and the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl Board of Trustees announced Sunday that No. 17 Wake Forest University will play No. 25 Texas A&M University in the 77th TaxSlayer Gator Bowl on Friday, Dec. 31.

FWC to meet Dec. 15-16 in Destin

Flounder recreational harvest reopens Dec. 1

The recreational harvest of flounder in all state and federal waters will reopen Dec. 1. The minimum size limit for flounder is 14 inches total length and the daily recreational bag limit is five fish per person.

Super Girl Surf Pro creates opportunities

Hundreds of hopefuls turned out last weekend to see their heroes in action at the Super Girl Surf Pro. It was the first year that the event, showcasing a lineup of the sport’s most talented female surfers, landed on the shores of Jacksonville Beach.

Offshore fishing likely off limits until next week

Another weekend and another nor’easter pushing through the First Coast. Hopefully this pattern won’t last all winter. Looking ahead at the forecast, I would say offshore will be off limits until maybe Wednesday.
