St. Johns County students receive Junior ROWITA honor

Each year, the St. Johns Cultural Council awards its Junior ROWITA (Recognizing Outstanding Women in the Arts) fellowship to female high school residents of St. Johns County who have excelled in visual, performing or literary arts.

Fire Watch launches Watch Stander program

The Fire Watch, Northeast Florida’s community-based initiative to end veteran suicide, announces the launch of the new Watch Stander program. More than 6,000 U.S. veterans take their lives each year. More than 500 of those occur in Florida annually.

Baptist Health adult hospitals receive 'A' ratings

All four Baptist Health adult hospitals – Baptist Jacksonville, Baptist South, Baptist Nassau and Baptist Beaches – have received "A" ratings in the spring 2020 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade, a national distinction recognizing achievements in providing the safest health care for patients.

Ponte Vedra Woman's Club giving hope

The Ponte Vedra Woman's Club had to cancel its last fund-raiser, which was Caribbean Night scheduled for May 2. To help make up for the loss, the club’s ways and means chairs set up a GoFundMe page to help the five charities the club supports.
