United Way of St. Johns County has announced that $138,647 in federal funds have been awarded to St. Johns County through the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program. A local board made up of county, city and human services agencies, along with United Way of St.

Nicholson, Russo named to dean's lists

Samuel Nicholson of Ponte Vedra Beach was named to the University of Utah’s spring 2020 dean’s list. His major is listed as finance. Nicholson was among more than 7,500 students named to the spring 2020 dean’s list. To qualify, students must earn a GPA of 3.

North Beaches Art Walk returns today

The North Beaches Art Walk (NBAW) returns today with a partial group of artists returning to participate this month. The artists will be placed further apart and will work with local Beaches Town Center businesses to create a path that will not impede traffic or block the flow of traffic.

A wave of closures is affecting beach businesses as patrons and employees test positive for COVID-19. Lynch’s Irish Pub in Jacksonville Beach closed last weekend after members of a group reported testing positive for the virus.

Newcomers hosting virtual events

The COVID-19 pandemic has prevented Newcomers of the Beaches from meeting in person. The club is a group of women who have recently moved to the Beaches and/or gone through major life event. New members are looking for new friends and interesting activities.

JAGA recognizes scholarship recipients
