Fletcher club plants 2,500 sea oats

The Fletcher Marine Coastal Club, with help from several Beach residents, planted 2,500 sea oats Father's Day weekend in Jacksonville Beach. The planting will continue throughout the summer to supplement the current vegetation to help in Dune development.

Wednesday Pier Farmers Market resumes July 1

The Wednesday Pier Farmers Market at the St. Johns County Ocean and Fishing Pier parking lot, 350 A1A Beach Blvd., will resume modified operations from 8 a.m. to noon Wednesdays, beginning July 1.

Four Jacksonville library locations reopen

Jacksonville Public Library's four regional libraries (Highlands, Pablo Creek, Southeast and Webb Wesconnett) have started offering inside service. All customers must wear masks at all times while in the library.

Jacksonville Beach approves Florida Natural Gas contract

A new contract will generate savings on natural gas for Beaches Energy customers. The Jacksonville Beach City Council members recently approved a one-year contract with Florida Natural Gas. The city held a previous contract with TECO Peoples Gas for more than 10 years.
