St. Johns County is now accepting COVID-19 vaccination appointment preregistrations for people who are 60 years of age and older. In addition, those deemed by a physician to be extremely vulnerable to COVID-19 may also receive the vaccination through St.

In two years there have been two fire fatalities in Jacksonville Beach. Both fire victims had a fire occur in their bedrooms, and neither had a working smoke alarm in the bedroom or anywhere in their house.

Ocean Palms Elementary students send kindness cards

Currently parking on the entire stretch of Ponte Vedra Boulevard for lawn, landscape, pool and general service vehicles is allowed for a limited reasonable duration. With the increase in traffic, there is concern that this is causing dangerous conditions.

A Jacksonville Beach investment group has purchased the property where Adventure Landing is located. On Feb. 24, JB Fair Park MF LLC bought the 22.2-acre property located at 1944 Beach Blvd. for $7.87 million from Orlando-based National Retail Properties (NRP) LP.

City officials are weighing a plan to purchase a portion of wetlands for a kayak launch at the end of Lily Street in Atlantic Beach. Several residents addressed the potential purchase during Feb. 22’s commission meeting.
