Schools closing

Duval County Public Schools will be closed Wednesday through Friday, Oct. 9 through 11. All school activities, including athletics and after-school programs, are canceled both days. After the storm passes, the school district will make an announcement regarding operations for the following week.

The St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) approved a Fiscal Year 2025 budget of more than $1.75 billion during its second public hearing on Sept. 17. The budget was recommended to the Commission in July and adopted in September.
