Pablo Towers residents benefit from skills of retired teachers

Three retired Duval County teachers are using their skills to serve a new age group. Residents of Pablo Towers in Jacksonville Beach are the beneficiaries of the computer skills of Christa Murphy, and Mary and Warren Roberts.

Beaches Go Green awards scholarships

Beaches Go Green recently awarded $2,500 Change Makers Scholarships to high school seniors who demonstrated significant contributions to environmental and/or wildlife conservation. Students receiving the scholarships are from both Duval and St.

Shooting in Jacksonville Beach under investigation

An investigation is underway following a fatal shooting May 23 in Jacksonville Beach. Police responded to a report of an unresponsive male victim around 7:25 a.m. along 10th Street South near 1st Avenue South. The victim was deceased at the scene.

St. Johns County names Scott Bullard as fire chief

St. Johns County is announcing that Scott Bullard has been named fire chief for St. Johns County Fire Rescue. Bullard has served as interim fire chief since Chief Jeffrey Prevatt retired in December 2022.
