Blue Angels will perform in Jacksonville Beach next year

A Neptune Beach woman is giving families a helping hand this Christmas. When Heather Bayfield Weidle set out to choose her family’s Christmas tree, she chose a smaller tree for the inside and another she planned to decorate in the front yard of her Hopkins Street home.

A pilot program to allow sidewalk dining in downtown Jacksonville Beach will be extended for an additional five years. On Dec. 2, city officials unanimously approved a measure which will also expand the project boundaries so more restaurants can participate.
