Fundraiser set for ABET

A special fundraising event will be held next week to benefit All Beaches Experimental Theatre. Local writer and director Jason Woods will perform his off-Broadway show “Bing!” at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, on the main stage at Players by the Sea, 106 N. 6th St. in Jacksonville Beach.

Neptune Beach boy dies after being hit by car

A 15-year-old Neptune Beach boy suffered fatal injuries Oct. 4 after he was struck by a car while riding his bike from the Fletcher High School football game. Police said the accident occurred at the five-way intersection of Penman Road, Florida Boulevard and Forest Avenue shortly after 10 p.m.
