Beaches Watch hosting town hall with Jacksonville City Council members

On Wednesday, Aug. 2, at 7 p.m., Beaches Watch will host a town hall with the Jacksonville City Council president and at-large council members. The meeting will be held at the Beaches Branch Public Library, 600 Third St., Neptune Beach, and is open to the public.

St. Johns County Board of County Commission (BOCC) has appointed Deputy County Administrator Joy Andrews the interim county administrator while beginning a national search for a new county administrator.

More than 300 take part in NEFAR’s waterways clean-up event

Shakespeare in the Park moved to Adele Grage

Due to anticipated high temperatures, the July 21 and 22 productions of Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night" have been moved to Gulliford Hall in the Adele Grage Cultural Center. Both performances are at 7:30 p.m.

ATM thefts under investigation

Detectives are investigating the theft of three ATMs stolen minutes apart earlier this month from hotels in Jacksonville Beach. The equipment was stolen from a Hampton Inn, Courtyard by Marriott and Four Points by Sheraton.

Fundraising efforts for Atlantic Beach family under way

An Atlantic Beach family is mourning a tragic loss following a car crash last month. Randi Bhatti and children, Kamran, 13, and Amaya, 11, suffered devastating injuries in the June 24 crash in Putnam County. Doctors were unable to save Amaya’s left arm.
