K9s for Warriors dog graduates

Members of the Interact Club at Fletcher High School recently attended the graduation of their K9s for Warriors service dog, Brownie, named after club sponsor Doug Brown. To assist with dog funding, the club will host a $10 trivia night on Feb. 9 at 6 p.m. at Angie's Subs. The event is open to all.

Gulliford to address Beaches residents

Jacksonville District 13 City Councilman Bill Gulliford, representative for the Beaches, will be the speaker at the Feb. 3 Beaches Watch meeting. During the meeting, Gulliford will discuss Jacksonville issues for 2016 that will impact the Beaches.

Mentors needed for school program

Karen Anthes, a fifth grade teacher at Neptune Beach Elementary, is on a mission to make a difference in the lives of at-risk youth at her school and she is encouraging others to join her growing army.

Bag Lady Luncheon returns to Ponte Vedra

The Friends for the Arts, the affinity group for the Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach, will host its annual Bag Lady Luncheon on Wednesday, Feb. 24, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Sawgrass Country Club. The luncheon is the biggest annual fund raiser presented by the group.
