Atlantic Beach resident named Duval Teacher of the Year

Atlantic Beach resident Linda “Kay” Park, a veteran teacher who comes from a family of educators, was named the 2016 Florida Blue Duval County Teacher of the Year March 12 at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront.

Great Atlantic Country Music Fest canceled

The inaugural Great Atlantic Country Music Fest, originally scheduled to be held in Jacksonville Beach on Saturday, has been canceled. According to the event's Web site, greatatlanticfestival.com, the festival has been canceled due to a severe weather forecast.
