Atlantic Beach residents are seeking a solution to a decades-long flooding problem along Oak Street. Many of them gathered June 10 to appeal to the City Commission to help alleviate the standing water that often pools for up to a week following heavy rain.

The St. Johns County Pet Center, located at 130 N. Stratton Road in St. Augustine, is facing overcrowding due to increased pet surrenders and strays. To address this situation, the Pet Center is waiving the $60 adoption fee for dogs through the end of June.
