Audit reveals Neptune Beach records were 'a mess'

Neptune Beach auditors needed two years to navigate the situation caused by departmental vacancies and a high turnover rate in the city’s finance department, according to a 2022 audit report. On June 24, the City Counci reviewed the findings of the audit performed by Purvis Gray.

Jacksonville Beach city leaders asked to protect dunes during July 4 holiday

In less than two weeks, thousands of residents and visitors will gather along the Jacksonville Beach oceanfront to celebrate the July 4 holiday. City officials are warning revelers to keep out of the dunes as high tide is expected at 8 p.m.

Jacksonville Beach officials have settled a lawsuit filed against the city after a Jacksonville Beach woman was injured while jogging on a poorly maintained public sidewalk. On June 17, the City Council approved a $155,000 payout to the victim, who filed suit against the city last September.

Benefit for Fly's Tie will be held Saturday
