Removal of Neptune Beach water tank will not meet deadline

Plans to remove a water tower in Neptune Beach continue to move forward. However, they will not meet the 12-month deadline imposed on the project. Instead, city leaders will receive quarterly updates regarding the progress as the developer works with engineers to conduct additional flow tests.

Preliminary approval given to redevelop Mango's Beach Bar

A rezoning request to redevelop the existing Mango’s Beach Bar and surrounding parcels into a mixed-use project received preliminary approval April 22 from the Jacksonville Beach Planning Commission.

Beaches Watch hosting meeting in Duval Shore Protection Project

Garbage collection costs in Neptune Beach increasing

Neptune Beach residents will pay $16 a month more for garbage collection. City officials recently unanimously approved a resolution increasing fees from $22.05 per month to $38.08 for solid waste pickup. Rates haven't been raised since 2009, and the cost has jumped considerably since the pandemic.
